
What Causes Blood In Vomitus When Diagnosed With Esophagitis?

Question: I am diagnosed with esopogitis. 6 months ago I was hospitalized after vomiting blood only to learn I was anemic because I had been bleeding internally. After endoscopy my medicine was changed to Protonix 2 times a day. Recently I began experiencing severe sharp pain between my breadt bone down my left side and in my back. Sometimes my back teeth hurt. This pain is dibilitating. In 2 months I had it 5 times. I
Doc recommended ladocane with a thick antacid. It helped. Recently I vomited blood following day vomited brown along with pain all night. Went to Er in am. Morphing for pain. They are treating this as severe esopgogitis and once the do the Endo will know more. I'm wondering about gallstones. Your thoughts

This all appears to be due to sever oesophagitis only and not due to gallstone because there will be no blood in vomitus with gallstone. So your docs are treating in right manner.
