What Causes Blue Discoloration Of Knees, Feet And Elbows?

Question: My knees feet and elbows are blue. I am a smoker trying to give up but to no avail. Is this symptom mean i am close to death?

Blue discoloration is not suggestive of impending death. This could be caused by veins being excessively visible or circulation problems.. If you have any symptoms such as cold extremities, pains, etc and if your doctor has diagnosed you of blocked circulation to the extremities(hands and legs), please inform me of as well.
