What Causes Bluish Vein On Penis?
Question: Hi,
Quick question - I was examining my testicles in the bath this morning and although they seem fine (no lumps or anything like that) I noticed on my left one that there seem to be blueish veins on the testicle (not on the scrotum). You can faintly see the through the skin and move with the testicle. I can really feel them, just see them. Is this normal and what are they? I get a little paranoid down there. I had an ultrasound a year ago to check something else and everything was fine then.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed bluish vein on the testicle.
It is not abnormal to see prominent veins on the surface of the testicle and it has no significance at all .
It is not due to any pathology related to testicle but is one of the tributary of of testicular vein.

Thank you very muchfor your quick response. Would this be a varicocele or just regular veins? Does everybody have veins actual on their testicles (i know you do on your scrotum)? And is it normal to see on one testicle and not the other?
Brief Answer:
Varicocele are dilated veins in Pampiniform plexus
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .
Varicocele is dilatation of veins of pampiniform plexus .
Ideally it is very difficult to see veins on the surface of the testis through skin and subcutaneous tissue It can be seen on only on one or both testicles .But it has no significance at all.
