What Causes Blurred Vision After A Retina Repair Surgery?

default
Posted on Wed, 17 Feb 2016
Question: I had a torn retina repaired about 6 months ago. I am in Flagstaff, AZ where the altitude is 7,000 feet and my vision seems blurry. I am experiencing some eye discomfort as well. I wasn't having any issues at all with the eye until I arrived in Flagstaff. Can the altitude bring on such symptoms?

Brief Answer:
No effect of altitude

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
7000 feet is not an altitude where you can start experiancing high altitude effects.Your available medical history doesn't show any reason why you should have high altitude effects on the eye.
These problems may be independent eye problems following retinal tear surgery. There has to be a regular follow up of retina to rule out any further changes.
Any further query in this regard please do get back to us.
