What Causes Blurred Vision And Seeing Symmetrical Lines In The Line Of Vision?

Question: Hello Doctor,
I am male aged 23. For the past 3 days I am feeling something weird with my eye sight. They are normal for most of the day but starts blurring (mild) and things starts appearing as if i am looking through a mirage. If i concentrate my eyes on one particular object then some kind of u symmetrical lines or curves start coming making it difficult to view. But that's not the case with the objects which are close to me. And after an hour or so my head right above the eyes start aching. In situations like i mostly tried to sleep. And when i wake up everything seems normal. I am working as a software professional. I use laptop for 9-10 hours a day and XXXXXXX for extra 2 to 3 hours. Is there anything that i need to know or go to an ophthalmologist for an eye check up. Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
You need an eye check...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The symptoms you describe are not very specific to medical condition. Based on your description I think it could either be related to dry eyes (computer vision syndrome) or refractory error. I will definitely urge you visit an ophthalmologist. Your visual acuity needs to be evaluated.
In the meanwhile I will start you on eye lubricants like moisol or refresh eye drops thrice daily.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
