What Causes Body Aches, Stiffness In The Arms And Swollen Face?
Question: I have very odd symptoms. My whole body hurts, my hands are very stiff and hurt. I cannot make a fist and if I force it I get sharp pain (like funny bone pain). I ache all over and I have muscle weakness as well. I also feel like my hands and face are swollen.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that , stiffness in hands can be a sign of inflammatory arthritis which needs immediate evaluation . I would recommend you to take antiinflammatory like naproxen or ibuprofen and look out for the response you get . Also blood tests like CBC, RF , Anti ccp antibody should be done . Please tell if you have any history of Rheumatoid arthritis in your family . Any other query please ask.

Since your mothee had rheumatoid arthritis , there is a very strong possibility that you may also be developing similar issues . RF and Anti ccp are tests to confirm rheumatoid arthritis . I would advise you to see a rheumatologist for this at earliest to determine the correct diagnosis and begin with the treaent at earliest to prevent joint damage .
