What Causes Body Tremor While Having High Blood Sugar?

Question: I just was in the hospital for high blood sugar, so now I am changing my diet, etc. But since cutting out all the bad stuff, I wake up shaking, which I am right now. Is that too low or too high? Just trying to figure it all out. I guess I need to eat, but is that all it is?

Brief Answer:
need glucometer

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You really need to get a glucometer and check your sugar level when the shaking starts. Usually shaking is from low sugar not high sugar. Low sugars is extremely rare unless you are on a medicine to lower your sugars. Medications can make it go too low and cause this symptom. If you are on a medication talk to your doctor about it. If the shaking occurs when your sugars are normal then the shaking may not be related to the pre-diabetes at all and you may need to see a neurologist to find the cause of the shaking.
I hope you get a diagnosis and treatment soon,
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
