Question: my dad being alcoholic since last 15-20 years. now has been treated. but he feels too much weakness in his body. continuous pain in one hand.
and also not able to do work which requires strength like lifting some weight.

please help

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Weakness and pain can be due to :
1. Neuropathy
2. Vitamin B 12 or vitamin D deficiency
3. Electrolyte disturbances
I will suggest him to consult a neurologist to get properly examined, investigated including Vitamin D, Vitamin B 12 levels, Serum electrolytes including sodium, potassium, calcium and nerve conduction studies, and get further management accordingly.
