Brief Answer:
bleed from healing vaginal vault
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
After hysterectomy the vaginal vault takes around 45-60 days to heal completely and often one may experience clotted blood discharge from vagina which is common and if there is cuff cellulitis which develops then this light bleeding may continue for even few days but once the vault heals it subsides completely. So thats what has happened in your case.

I am feeling cheated.
You did not read carefully my note. I had the hysterectomy 41 years ago and not 45-60 days ago.
I expect an answer to my problem or my money back.

Brief Answer:
VAIN...
Detailed Answer:
Exactly i have taken that in consideration but you never mentioned that the bleeding experienced was in last 3 months. So if the bleeding was in last 3 months then the likely cause can be two-
1. VAIN- vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia or
2. If you are sexually active then vaginal atrophy per se due to dryness can often cause light bleeding sometimes.
But its any how necessary to seek a per speculum examination to to identify the local cause. Concern it that it should not be VAIN as that is a initial indicator for development of vaginal cancer.
So a visit to a gynecologist is mandatory. Please get yourself an appointment.
