Question: Hi, OK my last period started December 31,2015 and ended January 8th 2016 . I just started spotting very light pinkish bleeding . what does that mean?

Expected period date for January is the 31 as it has been every month. It usually last a week. The last time I had unprotected sex was yesterday

One more possibility is infection ( as you had unprotected sex).
