What Causes Breathing Issues, Stress, Lack Of Energy And Depression?

default
Posted on Thu, 21 Jul 2016
Question: I'm still here but feeling odd. Odd because I have good afternoons and evenings but I go to bed and when I arise I have breathing issues. I have had lots of sress the past few days so I am assuming that it is the root cause.
I just seem to feel more like I have less energy and more sensations of sob. That I can't take as deep a breath as I have before.

Do these sound like issues from long term anxiety and panic.

Brief Answer:
Yes, all these symptoms are due to long term anxiety and panic.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.

Yes, all these symptoms are mostly due to long standing stress and panic.
You are mostly having stress by thinking of returning to home and going to job.
Your home environment is stressful so you feel stressed while returning to home.

And at present, you are having stressful job period. So you are also feeling stress in the morning after arising by thinking of going to office.

So all these are stressor in you which causes more symptoms at night and in the morning.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

I have had an interesting day. I went out of town shopping in a nearby town. I walked the stores I visited going very slowly so as not to get winded. I noticed in one shop that I felt a very tight chest area that did not want to expand freely, it's the same sensation I had when this all began.

I have been thinking on all the thing that panic and the release of mediators do to the body and if they have caused this.

I hope to go out walking tomorrow weather permitting

Was there too much bad smell or smoke?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you should definitely relax and go to walking in morning.
Morning walks are always stress removers. Avoid stress and tension from your mind. Don't think too much about stress, inflammation, airways etc. Over thinking of anything is not good. So be positive and stay positive, go for morning walk and start new day positively.
Please let me know
1. Was the atmosphere in shopping town bad?
2. Was there too much smoke or bad smell?

I can not say for certain, but I believe I can mentally and physically sense what a person with actual obstructive disease goes through or deals with. I can only believe that my body has been over sensitized by stress mediators. This causes the breathing issues that I have. The sensitivity I feel has my airways inflamed as you have said. I am so oversinsitized that I watch people running, I watch people hiking on trails, climbing hills and just the watching of this makes me trigger the panic response and then my breathing becomes more inflamed.

The scariest of these triggers is when I think of the efforts of moving the heavy band gear in and out of the performances I find breathing tight and limited I can only assume over and over that the airways thru the lungs are inflamed so as to not allow a full inhale.

I can understand your concern.
This is very sad.
Watching people doing such activities made you breathless is very very worrisome symptom.
Honestly speaking I was not aware of this that someone else's activities made you anxious and nervous.
Have you said this too your psychiatrist?
If yes then what was his opinion about it?

Yes it can be worry some for us. The sensations of sob and tight chest and inability to deeply inhale triggers greater response and then that feeling exacerbates when watching physical activities.

Right now it early morning, sticky and humid outside. I woke anxious because of worry of work and concern on how much my breathing will bother me. The humidity is uncomfortable and all I want to do is go back to sleep

Tomorrow is job interview. That adds to the stress. The interview is a silent anxiety, the big one is the long drive that I will do and the anxiousness from job excess work that I will have to catch up on

I must trust that you are correct with inflammation as the cause and that you find no organic lung disease

The interview place is 525 Kilometers away. I hope to use this time both to and from to unwind and relax. Sounds funny but I will try while going up.

Because we are in the second account and still have a few weeks to go, I am not replying right away so I can have additional questions later.

Right now I am listening to an audio college course called "Stress and Your Body" By Prof XXXXXXX Sapolsky.
He made a comment in lecture 1 at the 13 minute mark "If you turn on the stress response to often and too long you will get sick.Chronic stess to a certain area send that area to be the location that will be sick

Oh my god. 525 kms is too much for self driving.
Why don't you opt for taxi or bus or plane? This might be more convenient for your body.
And how could you know about how many weeks left?

Its long trip 10 hours, I planned it so I would arrive and Have 3 hours where I would take a short nap at my house before I went to the interview. so I would be refreshed. I am also taking things back with me so I get things moved.
