Brief Answer:
Visit an ophthalmologist at the earliest.

Detailed Answer:
Sudden onset of flashes of light (photopsia) should be considered a sort of Ocular Emergency.

You should visit a qualified ophthalmist at the earliest and insit on a dilated fundus examation.

You should abstain from lifiting heavy load, sudden jerks or any trauma to the eye or head.

The most dreaded cause could be a retinal break or detachment. Though it might be just due to any changes in the vitreous but to be on the safer side it should be considered an emergency and taken care of immediately.
