What Causes Bronchitis Along With Altered Sense Of Taste?

Question: I have bronchitis or pneumonia (cough with bleach taste in mouth) Since the past 2 years, I was diagnosed by doctors with 2 pneumonia, and now have it again. How come this is recurring? I do not smoke and am quite healthy. I lived in a house that had some mold (lived there for 2 years) Never had this problem at age 50 in my entire life. Now I do not live there anymore since about 5 months. Could there be a link with the mold?
Brief Answer:
Weakened immune system...
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for posting!
I have read your query and I understand your concerns.
According to your symptoms, I think that you suffer from weakened immune system, which I think is caused by mold, both from the house you have lived for two years and antibiotics you have taken.
In order to find the right diagnosis you need the following:
- pulmonary CT-scanner
- fibrobronchoscopy
- sputum culture
- mantoux test
- complete blood count
- urine test
You need to consult your pulmonologist in order to discuss more about your condition.
Feel free to ask me for anything unclear.
All the best,
Dr. Behar.
