Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Such a discharge is usually associated with Sexually transmitted infections (STI).
Antibiotics course would be required for STI. I would advise you to AVOID UNPROTECTED SEX till the cause for the discharge is ascertained.
If appropriate, kindly answer the following to help you better.
have you ever had unprotected sex especially in the recent past ?
from how many days have you been experiencing this discharge ?
Do you have any groin or back pain ?
Do you have any pain/ burning sensation in urethra or during urination ?
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

I.have not been sexualy active for over 20 yrs., any suggestions?
No groin or back pain, No burning sensations
No groin or back pain, No burning sensations
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
In the absence of any unprotected sex in the recent past, hematuria should be looked for. The discolored pattern of blood loss could be easily mistaken for a brown discharge. Nephritis should also be ruled out. A urinalysis and culture sensitivity should be done primarily. If numerous RBCs are found on the urinalysis then urinary tract stones would also need to be looked for. X ray KUB or Ultrasound can be advised accordingly. If none of the above causes are found then cystoscopy could be indicated to look for any urinary bladder lesion/s associated with the brown discharge/hematuria, in consult with your doctor.
Please consult your doctor before deciding on any further course of action.
