Posted on Fri, 3 Nov 2017
Question: Hi, I am 43 years old. I have a regular (26-29 days) menstual cycle. In August 2017, I had to attend a function on 27th. My cycle was during that time. So, I took meprate 10 mg tablets for 10 days(18.8.17 - 27.8.17). I had brown spotting only from 5th September for three days. Till now, I haven’t got my periods. I am not pregnant. Please suggest me a solution for this.

Brief Answer:
Oral pills can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The delay in periods can be due to a hormonal disturbance. If the pregnancy is ruled out after a test then you can start with oral contraceptive pills after consulting with your gynecologist. These will help in resuming proper cycles after 21 days.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
