No I just noticed that the color had changed. It is normally a medium to darker brown. I was on a soft diet due to tooth extraction, but have been back to normal diet since Saturday.
Brief Answer:
Probably diet induced
Detailed Answer:
Dietary items are known to cause this.
What you eat significantly changes the colour.
So I think it would be because of that.
What is more, the worrisome colour change is when it turns black like hair and is tar like in consistency.
This change is probably due to your change in diet.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal

So light brown to XXXXXXX is ok?
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As I said before, the colour of stools depends on your dietary intake of pigments.
You said that the diet has changed from before.
Accordingly it is possible that the stool colour may have changed.
If there is no jaundice,it is unlikely to be abnormal.
If you want to be absolutely certain, test with CBC, LFT, RFT and stool routine and occult blood.
Let me know the reports for further suggestions.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
