my doctor didn,t seem worried over the results of the mri,he said there was a small white spot on the right side of the brain,he thought i might have had a little stroke in the past,he wasn,t concerned about the eeg either,he said it wasn,t unusual ,wasn,t out of the ordinary,i work outside in the heat,i XXXXXXX t been drinking fluids, and i have alot of stress and i believe i think too much and worry alot.

Brief Answer:
Keppra my be withheld in case it was the first seizure event.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details, but, you still did not mention if it was the first seizure episode.Anyways,if it was the initial event, and no significant abnormality on MRI and EEG was detected,Keppra could have been withheld for now.You may be kept under observation and if the second event occurs in future, then antiepileptic medicine may be started. There are other effective drugs as well except Keppra,in case Keppra does not suits you well.

Hope that helps. If you have any further queries,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.

at 59 this was my first seizure experience which was at home, about 10 minutes later i was at the hospital, they said i had another little seizure, after that i woke up,this was in july 23rd.the hospital mri didnt show anything,so i got a second opinion because i didn,t want it to be a seizure because i can,t drive for six months, and thats what i do,i,m off work, anyway i mentioned my other doctors op[nion,i think this is causing more psychological problem,s,and my blood pressure is up,thank,s Dr Panwar.

to Dr Panwar, iwas home at the time with my wife,i was tired after workso i stretched out on the recliner and fell asleep, she said my arms were shaking,my legs got stiff,in all i was exerting alot of force,my jaw was clenched tight but somehow my lips were were shaking,i guess trying to breath,i did bite my tongue,i woke up enough,i guess thru their help to see the paramedics but i don,t remember the ambulance ride,i remember waking up to a doctor there,he said i had another seizure but he didn,t describe it,they had already taken an mri but didn,t really reveal anything.i know i couldn,t walk for awhile after that.i know they were worried about the cpk blood so i had to keep giving blood and drink alot of water.the next doctor i went to did an mri with seizure protocal and with the XXXXXXX i am now on oxcarbazepine.the bruising is going away, slowly,my last blood test a couple days ago was all good except high cholesteral so they put me back on crestor which i was taking before the seizure, thanks alot Dr Panwar.

Brief Answer:
It indeed appears to be a seizure only.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Your clinical description of the event, goes very much in favor of a seizure only. Antiepileptics should be continued for now.We need to adapt to many changes in life. This is just one of those things.Possible, you may not have it again,if there is no significant structural abnormalities in brain,or you may have it again-whatever it is,its for you to find out how to take it in somewhat positive way and get adapted to the same.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.
