femoral and ileac arteries
Brief Answer:
Arteries and veins enlarge for different reasons
Detailed Answer:
Artery is different from veins. Arteries take blood from the heart to different parts of the body and have more muscular walls. Arteries may dilate and become aneurysms when the walls become weak.
Veins return the blood from the peripheral organs and tissue to the heart. These have thin walls and dilate when the pressure goes up in them. So if the veins are large one should look for a higher than normal pressure in them.
