Question: Hi, Saturday morning I woke up and took a shower and as I was washing my vaginal region , I found what appears to be a bump of some sort on the top right side of my hood . Is it an STD. I am sexually active.

They are most often caused by folliculitis and this usually resolves spontaneously with no need of medical care. I will advise that you monitor and report evolution to us. The best prevention for STD is to have a faithful partner and always use condoms during intercourse. Please, try as much as possible to do so as prevention is better than cure.
