Brief Answer:
Cause of neuropathy has to be evaluated and treatment modified

Detailed Answer:
Hello Piezinski,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Painful neuropathy in lower limbs has to be evaluated properly.
At this age many causes are there for neuropathy like diabetic , toxin, myeloma, vitamin deficiency, vasculitis.
You need to be investigated on lines of neuropathy.
You should get nerve conduction studies, blood tests for renal function, liver function, immunoelectrophoresis for myeloma, ANA for vasculitis.
Nerve biopsy may be required later on.
Consult a neurologist for proper examination, evaluation and treatment accordingly.
For neuropathic pain you can take pregabalin, gabapentin, amitryptylline, topiramate. Opioids can also be used.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
