What Causes Burning In Chest When Suffering From Hiatal Hernia?

Brief Answer:
Difficult to relate hiatal hernia completely to chest pain
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Though the symptoms you report suggest of epigastric pain it is difficult to say if the pain is only due to hiatal hernia of small size.
In this situation I give a trial proton pump therapy for 2 weeks before testing Hpylori infection. So you may go ahead with your doctor and ask about trial Omeprazole or Pantaprazole therapy. If this does not help you may go for Urease breath test for H. Pylori infection screen. Further the treatment depends if you have Hpylori or not.
Hope this answers.

I have had endoscopy and the results for h pylori is negative. i was also tried pantaprazole for 2 months. chest pain has settled. But my main concern at present is pulsations on left breast, sternum and left upper part of abdomen. why do you think this is happening?
Brief Answer:
primary doctor opinion
Detailed Answer:
Sorry for delay.
It is quite unusual to see such visible pulsations on breast. We need to rule out heart reasons as well like aneurysm. In this case the pulsations does not influence with food.
I suggest to get cardiac evaluation done with ECG and 2 D echo with the help of local cardiologist. If you come clear the left out is anxiousness.
I am still in favour of gastric issues since pantaprazole eased pain.
Hope this answers.
