Brief Answer:
Mostly due to Diabetes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I have read your query.

Burning pain in finger may be due to many reasons. Both diabetes and fibromyalgia may cause it, in addition carpal tunnel or dupuytren contracture may also cause it.

From your history it seems neuropathy due to diabetes. It appears to be more common in people who have problems controlling their blood glucose, also called blood sugar, as well as those with high levels of blood fat and blood pressure and those who are overweight.

So I advise you to get fasting blood sugar level and HbA1c done and send me the report.

Also send me the picture of your affected hand.

Till then you can have lyrica, tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline, imipramine, and desipramine etc by prescription of your doctor.

I hope it helps.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
