What Causes Burning Pain In Right Side Of Stomach?
Question: I had a blockage removed in my small XXXXXXX 2 & 1/2 months ago. I am having burning pain in my right side of my stomach the past couple of weeks. Is this normal?

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Burning pain could be due to increased acidity. Possibly a gastric or duodenal acidity with ulcer.
2. Mild acidity is manageable, however, with burning pain, treatment will be necessary.
3. This is not related to small bowel blockage at present.
4. Antacids should give relief within ten to fifteen minutes. You need to be on proton pump inhibitors. If you already on it, dosage might be low.
5. Also avoiding stress, spicy food and taking regular time meals will be helpful.
