What Causes Burning Sensation And Tightness In Vagina During Intercourse?

Question: Hi Doctor,
I just need your suggestion/advice on the below issue I experience.
When myself and my husband tried sexual intercourse this month, he was not able to penetrate his penis into my vagina and I also experienced burning sensation and a subtle pain. So we tried inserting one finger into my vagina after some foreplay. We were able to insert one finger fully into my vagina but with burning sensation.
Note: We have also had sexual intercourse few times before and my husband was able to penetrate me only one or two times without any issues.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to vulvovaginitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Your symptoms are most likely due vulvovaginitis means infection of vulva and vagina cause by STD and non STD infection.
It could be due to contact dermatitis due to soap, detergent, perfume etc.
It could be due to less lubrication also.
I would suggest you visit a gynecologist who will be able to treat you on similar lines.
Hope found useful, feel free to discuss more information.
Good luck.
