What Causes Burning Sensation Around Anal Area?
Question: I have this pain around my anus area. so I decided to take a picture of it. it burns, bleeds and itches sometime. I had it for 3 days now and I don't know what it is. can someone help me?
Brief Answer:
Sounds like anal fissure.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms you have mentioned are quite suggestive of anal fissure. In this condition, the inside of the rectum is ulcerated in long stripes. This causes pain on defecation, discomfort and itching and sometimes bleeding as well.
Mostly the symptoms develop with constipation. I suggest a high fibre diet, Isapghulla husk and plenty of fluids to my patients. If this doesn't work, usually surgery is needed.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Best of luck.
Dr Mittal.

I LOOKED UP THE IMAGE FOR A ANAL FISSURE AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE. NOW WHAT IF I WASN'T CONSTIPATED? TRUTHFULLY I BEEN STAINING TO USE THE BATHROOM SO I WONT HAVE TO THE BATHROOM AT WORK CAUSE I'M A GERMAPHOBIC. WILL IT CLEAR UP IF I STOP STRAINING?
Brief Answer:
Soft stools and avoiding straining will help
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I am glad to hear from you again.
Of course it will help.
You see what happens is that the hard stools and straining at stools will cause more pressure on the fissures.
I will strongly suggest using high fibre diet.
Isapghulla 3 tsf at bed time should definitely help.
In case you have problem in the morning hours, as suggested, I have found a large volume of water intake very helpful, at least in the younger ages.
Besides, its very much an issue of habit.
If medical management does not help, surgery is the definitive answer.
I hope that the information helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information.
Best of luck
