Sertraline can cause Burning sensation in feet.
Detailed Answer:
HI
Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.
Well , yes Sertraline can do cause Burning sensation in feet ( it's an uncommon side effect ) but we need to consider other possible causes also .
For example : Diabetes , Vitamin B12 , Pyridoxine deficiency and Chronic Alcohol intake .
Looking at your previous queries I came to know that you have got tested for Diabetes and its normal . So I advise you get tested for Serum Vitamin B12 and Pyridoxine levels and revert back with reports.
Also if you consume alcohol regularly then reduce the intake .
If your reports come normal and even after reducing alcohol the burning sensation persists then you need to ask your doctor for an alternative to Sertraline.
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask.
Regards.
Are you taking B12 as tablets or Injections?
Detailed Answer:
HI
Thanks for the information.
Well since how long are you taking B12 ?
Are you taking B12 as tablets or Injections?
Was any test done before and after starting B12 supplements ?
I am asking this because a B12 deficiency can cause burning sensation and in certain conditions taking oral B12 supplements may not correct the deficinecy , in that condition you need to take B12 injections.
Regards.
