What Causes Burning Sensation In Food Canal?

Sucrafil and Gelusil shall help
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to address your query.
Since your pain/stomach symptoms are not completely relieved, I were to do an upper GI endoscopy to identify local pathology(antral gastritis or peptic ulcer).I were to continue Pantocid along with cytoprotective agents like Sucrafil (instead of carmicide) which lines and protects your stomach mucosa and helps to heal faster(1 g 4 times/day taken on an empty stomach 1 hr before;or 2 hr after meals for 4-8 wk).It is available as over the counter.
I would recommend to Gelusil syrup (5-10ml as and when required) for sudden burning sensation(acute episodes).
It is important to avoid hot and spicy foods, bevarages (coffee, tea, including alcohol).Have cold badam milk, cold water instead.
Donot skip your meal.Have timely diet(breakfast, lunch and dinner). This prevents accumulation of gas.In case of delay have one or two biscuits so that the acid in the stomach does not damage the lining further.
Elevate the head end of your cot by 2 inches to prevent the acid reflux and early morning symptoms.
Hope this answers your query.
