It is inside not on the outside. No rash, no bug bites. No redness. There is some swelling at times as well. This is not constant. Intermittent, maybe once or twice a week. It can happen when I am walking as well as while sitting

If the burning sensation you feel is inside and not outside, then, it might be related to nerve issues. Neurological examination and conductory testing advised to evaluate the status of the nerves and muscles in your leg.

Diabetes testing and measuring the electrolytes level are advised to rule out diabetes and minerals deficiencies respectively.
