Question: I have a burning sensation in the buddock area due to sitting to long which occurred when I fell on my back 3 weeks ago

2)Is it present just on sitting long or otherwise also?
3)Do you have any bladder or bowel issues?
4)Do you have weakness in lower limbs?

1.no burning sensations in thighs or legs.
2. just sitting long periods of time and more so when I sleep ( I wear Depends dypers
3. I urinate 3/4 times a night in bed and get up from sleep
4. no weakness in lower limbs
5 I am a boarder line diabetic,
Is there any kind of over the counter medication or lotion I can take for this say i.e. aloe
please kindly advise, thank you.

note. I fell 3 weeks ago and hurt my back and it seems to have no problem since I used ice on it.

It may be just physiological.MRI L-S Spine may be done.

Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

Although sitting for prolonged periods, may cause tingling in the buttock area, burning sensation may be slightly unusual.If the problem is severe and troublesome,I suggest you to get a MRI of L-S spine to look for a possible disc related issue, which might be causing nerve radicle compression.

Diabetics are usually prone to such nerve related symptoms and neuropathy.

I will try to get a scrip from my Health care provider for a cat scan of the back. Is there any other medication such as aloe that can help me??? please kindly advise or hot or cold compressed ???

Antineuralgic medicines like Pregabalin or duloxetine may help you.However,MEDICINES MUST BE TAKEN UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A PHYSICIAN ONLY.

Spinal extension exercises will help you. Hot or Cold compresses have no definite role.
