Based on your description, it appears to be allergic conjunctivitis. The red eyes can be a result of any external environment stimulus such as dust, nail , saliva or even certain clothing if in contact. Eye drops containing antibiotics , antihistamine and steroid can be instilled in the affected eye along with lubricants. Most likely there will be rapid resolution. If the symptoms persists then slit lamp examination and intraocular pressure should be done, in consultation with an ophthalmologist.
