What Causes Burning Sensation In The Pelvis And Back Pain?

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Nov 2024
Question: I have a fungal infection in my urethra. At night my penis gets pulled back into the shaft. I get burning in the pit of my chest(stomach). Sometimes I get burning around my whole pelvic region. I am thinking that it might be h. pylori or parasites. I went to a gastroentero he scheduled me for an endoscopy, and colonoscopy, but I have to wait 7 weeks for the procedure. It is 5 weeks away now. My testes blow up sometimes too, at night.

...................................................................

I have some pain in the back. Could it be kidney stones? Some one in my office has type 2 diabetes, like me, and says that he gets frequent stones and back pain.

Brief Answer:

Antifungals, Cause, Scrotal ultrasound

Detailed Answer:

Hello and welcome!

I appreciate your concern.

If there is a documented fungal infection then antifungals should be prescribed. Cause for the fungal infection should be ascertained such as immunocompromised state, steroid use or preceding antibiotics use /instrumentation.

The burning sensation in the pelvis is unlikely to be related to parasites or H. pylori. Its association is more likely to be with the UTI.

The testicular swelling needs to be assessed for possible dependent edema.

If an infectious/inflammatory cause is suspected or there is an evident mass or swelling on physical exam then an ultrasound of the scrotal sac / testes can be advised in consultation with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you best of health.

Explained

Detailed Answer:

Hello again!

Yes kidney stones can present with back pain.

A renal ultrasound or KUB X-ray can accurately tell whether any stone is present along the urinary tract.

Hope I have answered your question.
