What Causes Burning Sensation In The Right Shoulder And Neck?

Question: Hi, so yesterday afternoon I noticed that my right shoulder and the side of my neck feel like I was sitting in the sun for hours and was burnt. But I had been inside most of the day and when I went to look the skin looked completely normal, no redness, no rash. It was so painful though it hurt to even brush my fingers up against, like a bad sun burn. I didn't know what to do so I put some aloe vera on it before I went to sleep. But it is still painful today. I am a 19 year old female.

Hi and welcome to HCM.

If there are no skin changes then it may be shoulder tendinitis, calcifications or pinched nerve. In every case this is not serious, and you should rest with immobilized arm, take analgesic like Ibuprofenum 3x400 mg after food for next 2-3 days and apply cold compresses.

It should go in few days.
