Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. It looks like you are suffering from mild gastritis induced by intake of spicy foods.
2. Many people cannot tolerate spicy food and this increases symptoms of acidity which is felt as burning sensation in the esophagus which is the food pipe and stomach.
3. Please avoid taking spicy food regularly and when you wish to take spicy food then please take it with curd and raita. Taking a sweet or ice cream after the spicy food will also make you feel better.
4. Please reduce alcohol intake and cigarette smoking if you do it.
5. Have your food on time and do not skip meals. Avoid mental stress.
6. Eat fruits and small snacks regularly in the daytime and drink adequate amounts of water
7. If burning is there even if you take non spicy foods then consult a gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy done and take medicines only if there is any sign of gastritis.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
