What Causes Burning Sensation In Throat?

Question: Hello,

I just wanted input from a doctor or whats gpong pn worh me as i tend to freak out easily and think the worst.

The past 3 week my throat has been bothering me. Its not sore like tonsilitis or strep. Its more of a burning like feeling that comes and goes. I noticed when i eat bread sometimes it feels like some pf it gets stuck in the middle lower part of my throat. When i talk my voice is normal but it feels exhausted on my end of that makes sense. Like i have talk way to much when i havent at all. I also feel somewhat cotton mouth.

I am starting to freak out :(

I saw my doctor last week who check my throat, said all looked bormal and nothinf was swollen or lumps. She felt it was possibly silent heartburn / i have had heart burn in the past with pregencies and this does not feel like that. She did prescribe be 20mg of nexium but that hasnt helped.
I have no fever or any sick type issues.

What do you think?
I asked her do you feel its cancer related and she said no .

With this presentation in my clinic, I would like to do laryngoscopy to know the possibilties. which includes,

1. Acid laryngitis- due to back flow of stomach contents into voice box and throat you feel burning sensation.

2. voice abuse or misuse- seen in persons who shouts, singers- sings in high tones, smokers, alcohol.

After exclusion of other parhologies( tumors) I would like to give you Sucral gel( mucosal protective gel from stomach contents) 1 hour before food, absolute voice rest, steam inhalation, avoid spicy diet, avoid smoking and alcohol.continue nexium for 4-6 weeks.

I will try not to worry -
With my primary doctor examining my throat last week she wouldnt be able to see anythong from just looking or notice something off?When i brought up cancer she completly dismissed it .

Of someone like me presented these symptoms, would you thonk lyranix or throat cancer or are their typically other symptoms?

I lost my mom to cancer and it has really screwed me up
