What Causes Burning Sensation On The Penis?
Question: Hi,
I am feeling burning sensation on the top of penis since February 2016. I have visited the doctor for the same. He give me advise to take some medicine and do some medical tests which were urine test both culture and routine, sugar and ultrasound. Nothing was found in those testes. Prescription and test reports has been attached for the reference.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have burning sensation on the Top of the penis since 6 months and all the basic investigations have been normal and have not revealed any obvious cause for the same.
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have pain or discomfort in perineum or around anus ?
2) Do you have burning at the Top of the penis or Tip of the penis?
3) Are you married ?
4) Do you have pain during ejaculation?
5) Did Urologist do Digital Rectal Examination ?.
The burning at the Top of the penis while passing urine could be due to infection of prostate (Prostatitis).
In view of all the tests done so far could not trace out any reason for your symptoms I suspect it to be due to Non Bacterial Prostatitis .
Kindly get following basic tests done to find out the cause for dysuria .
1) Swab Test and culture of a Urethral discharge obtained after prostate massage .
You will need help of a health personnel to get prostate massage done and to collect the sample .
2) Semen examination and culture .
In the mean while start taking Combination of Sulphamethoxazole and Trimethoprim (Bactrim) and anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac twice daily .
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water .To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
