What Causes Burning Sensation Over Hip Region?
12 months ago I had my appendix removed but the burning sensation remains.
On seeing my doctor she has ordered a left renal ultrasound i have had a left nephrectomy
on donating my left Kidney to my husband.
I wondered if there is inflammation in what I believe to be called the duodenum that is causing the burning.
About one month before my appendicitis attack I was confronted with a a very stressful situation, I had a glass ( 200 ml ) of peppermint liqueur to try and de-stress as there wasn't any wine. I don't know how old the liqueur was.
I hadn't experienced any discomfort or pain before this so wondered if this may have started the burning feeling in my bowl. If I have 2 glasses of wine over a couple of nights the burning returns.
I appreciate your feedback.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Your history suggests that your current problem is burning sensation over hip region.
Duodenum is a part of small intestine.
Disorders of duodenum will not cause burning sensation over the hips.
Appendicitis may be associated with tingling or burning sensation but that is usually on the right side of abdomen.
A renal surgery will also not lead to burning sensation over hips.
Thus, all the problems mentioned by you are not probably linked with burning sensation over hips.
The burning sensation over hips is probably due to nerve compression, nerve injury or any other nerve related disorder involving affecting the nerve supplying the hip region.
I would suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Management can be planned after results to the investigations is received.
Thanks and take care
