What Causes Burning Sensation While Passing Urine After Masturbation?
Question: I felt a burning sensation in my penis an hour after I masturbated yesterday. The burning sensation must have started right after I masturbated but did not feel it until an hour later. It does not burn particularly while I urinate but I feel it after I urinate. I had the sensation intermittently since yesterday. I haven't had sex in the last two years but I did go to a strip club ten days back and got a lap dance. I need your suggestion for my further course of action.
Brief Answer:
It is not abnormal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have burning sensation while passing urine one hour after masturbation .
During erection there is increased blood flow to entire penis to the extent of 12 times more than normal .This leads to congestion of entire erectile tissue and urethra .This congestion remains there for couple of hours and is the cause of burning sensation in penis ..
Get your routine urine test done to rule out UTI.
Drink more water ,it will help to resolve the issue .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Thank you so much for the reply Dr XXXXXXX .
I had the burning sensation an hour later but not while peeing. I do not feel it when I pee.Its only before or after I pee.
I noticed you said the congestion remains for a couple of hours. Its been almost 24 hours and I still feel the burning. How long should I wait before going for a test? I have this hypothesis that there is some damage due to friction. Would you agree with that? Can I safely assume that there is no risk of a STI?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
It may be due to inflammation of urethra.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.It likely to be due to iflammation of urethra due to vigorous handling of penis while masturbating.
Since it is over 24 hours, I think you should plan tests now. Continue taking medicines suggested earlier.
Thanks and Regards.
