What Causes Canker Sore On Mons Pubis?

I suggest a possibility of either genital herpes or bacterial folliculitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have taken note of your query and I have also reviewed the Images
I can see well defined, discrete, erosion's in both of these Images.
Just going by the look and considering that these are located in genital region I would like to rule out possibility of Genital Herpes.
Genital herpes usually presents with well defined erosion's.
Recurrent genital herpes may not be very symptomatic Or florid. It may present with just a few lesions and may even go unnoticed.
Another possibility that I would like to keep is of Bacterial Folliculitis which has ruptured and left an erosion.
I would like to know more from you in order to substantiate my diagnosis.
-Are you sexually active?
-Do you have more than one sexual partner or have had different sexual partners in the past?
-Does your current sexual partner has any other sexual partner? Or have had different sexual partners in the past?
Regards

so do you think it could be herpes? because these sores don't have any fluid in them or itch or anything?
I suggest a blood test for herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for additional information. It is helpful.
I would certainly keep a differential diagnosis of "Genital Herpes" and would like you to go for certain tests for the same rather than simply dismissing this as a simple folliculitis or ingrown hair.
You may take up a blood test for Herpes (i.e HSV ELISA Type 1 & 2, IgM as well as IgG).
Genital Herpes is more common in those who have had multiple sexual partners Or there sexual partners have had multiple sexual partners in the past.
Genital herpes is an STD and is usually acquired by close/ intimate sexual contact with an infected partner.
Chances of passing on the infection to sexual partner are more during a clinical episode of herpes but infection can still be passed on during clinically asymptomatic phases.
Therefore, even if you would have never noticed sores on any of your sexual partners, one or more of your sexual partners already had the infection with them and passed it on to you.
Regards
take care

Protected sex is not 100% protective against genital herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
A condom protected sex does not guarantee 100% protection against Genital Herpes because a condom covers only a portion of the shaft of penis and therefore leaves a lot of genital skin e.g base of penis and adjacent pubic region, exposed for direct skin-to-skin contact during sexual intercourse.

Testing for Herpes is advisable
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Yes, these are 2 most likely possibilities based on clinical picture and your history, including sexual history.
I suggest you to go for herpes testing. This would either confirm or rule out herpes.
For the erosion's, you may apply an OTC Topical antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin ointment twice daily.
