What Causes Cervical Mucus Discharge With Pelvic Pain During Pregnancy?
Question: My wife is 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant, after having pain in pelvic(hip)bone area she has got this odourless jellylike discharge without blood before urinating.
Brief Answer:
Cervical mucus discharge.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The jelly like discharge is cervical mucus. This is normal at a full term pregnancy. Such mild discharge and mild pains in the lower abdomen are normal. These pains and discharge will gradually increase as she will progress into actual labor. Ask her to count the baby fetal movements carefully after taking meals. In case the fetal movements are adequate then you need not worry.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
