What Causes Chest Pain, Stomach Pain, Loss Of Appetite, Cough And Insomnia?
Generalized anxiety disorder
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thank you for your question. I carefully read your query and reports.
Well, we are facing a situation where all these symptoms would require the tests you have already done and every possible organic problem, which would describe and encompass your symptoms, are practically ruled out. Therefore, my opinion is that there is nothing to worry about. Also, without the symptoms of constipation and/or diarrhoea, I would really not recommend the colonoscopy. Furthermore, your blood work came back normal, so I do not think that colonoscopy is needed.
Since organic factors that could confirm a certain problem that would fit your symptoms are ruled out, and also based on your very young age to have an organic problem, I would pursue the path of a generalized anxiety disorder with panic attacks.
It is understandable that you have undergone a lot of psychological stress with your symptoms and the "bunch" of tests you have been put through. The sensing of pain and other symptoms in your age are probably due to panic attacks, which are characterized of problems perceived by your mind "translated" into clear-cut symptoms.
Do not misunderstand me, I believe that you really experience these symptoms, I am just saying that they are related to the state of mind. I would recommend you an increase in physical activity, a 60-minutes a day, which is proven to have an exceptional benefit both on physical fitness and psychological domain.
I would also recommend a consult with a psychiatrist, to discuss about the possibility of a combination between a benzodiazepine for anxiety relief and a anti-psychotic drug for stabilizing the mood and prevent these episodes.
I hope I was helpful with my answer. I am happy to help, if you have follow-up questions. Please rate the answer, if you do not. Wish you the best.
Kind regards,
Dr. Meriton
