What Causes Chills, Cold Feet And Weakness When Diagnosed With Acute Sinusitis?
Question: Been diagnosed with acute sinusitis. Antiobiotics are not doing much good. Do not have flu. No fever.
Experience chills, cold feet, lack of energy. Could I be allergic to something??

Dear patient,
in most cases this is viral (cold/ flu like) but:
yes an allergy is also possible, common causes can get easily tested by prick skin test. If you were my patient, i would recommend some nasal spray (xylometazolin first short term to reduce sinus swelling, other allergy spray later once allergy is diagnosed). Also inhaling with hot steam, nsaid medication like ibuprofen and nasal douche is recommendable. In case of allergy antihistaminics should also be perscribed.
