2) This happens due to collection of menstrual blood on to ovary over a long duration of time. This accumulated blood becomes cyst and called chocolate or endometriotic cyst.

3) This chocolate cyst is known to cause lot of pain during menses.

4) This leads to adhesions formation in abdomen and hence causes infertility.

5) It also causes infertility as it interferes with motility of fallopian tubes, release of egg and decreases egg quality.
