What Causes Chronic Cough, Pain Under Rib Cage, Nausea And Dry Throat?
seems URTI, but need to rule out LRTIand bronchitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
By your history, I think you are having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) due to post nasal drip.
But at the same time we need to rule out lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) and bronchitis. Because you are having symptoms of chest pain and a little shortness of breath which are not seen in URTI.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of lungs and Chest x ray to rule out LRTI and bronchitis.
If both are normal than no need to worry much it is URTI only.
You should start macrolide group of antibiotic, antihistamines, and inflammatory drugs, warm water gargles 5-6 times a day and plenty of fluids orally. Your local doctor will know about these drugs.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further
Wish you good health. Thanks.
