What Causes Chronic Injuries, inflammations And Non Healing Tendon Tears?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 May 2014
Question: I need to get a doctor to prescribe me Human Growth Hormone (HGH).

I feel my body is weak and have chronic injuries, inflammation and tendon tears that will not heal. Problem is I'm not even physically active at all, its been many years (like 5-6) and it's gotten worse. I feel I have exhausted many conventional means and they do not seem to work. I cannot live like this with immobility and weakness. My body is breaking down and even the slightest movements seem to cause some sort of injury or tear. I feel there is inherent weakness in my bodily structure. I have gone through pretty much all conventional routes before i even considered this. please don't suggest physiotherapy, chiropractors, pain management or even psychiatrists because I have tried it all. I'm unsure of who to approach (endocrinologist, anti-aging clinic?, sports medicine doc, etc) to request this. The biggest issue is I'm a 19 year old so would they even consider? I feel weaker than someone in their 50s. I feel like someone will think I'm crazy but I am completely honest. I want an expert answer from someone who isn't going to dismiss this altogether. Hopefully an answer that addresses my question on how I would talk to a doctor about going on HGH. Then whether they think it's an appropriate and their suggestions on what I could do. Please Help.

Brief Answer:
GH can be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The chronic injuries and inflammations and the non healing tendon tears that you have can be due to a genetic disorder or tendinosis or a metabolic disorder. It can also be related to nutritional deficiencies like Vitamin D3 or magnesium or zinc deficiency. The growth hormone supplements as you suggested can help in an early improvement but are not likely to treat the root cause of the problem. Most often it is not right to draw a single diagnosis with all the symptoms that you have. One cause for a long time can lead to further complications if undetected and treated. So the sequence of the problems from the earliest to the latest is to be probed with good history and necessary tests to determine the first reason and a cycle of reasons. Sometimes there are more than one reasons.
This kind of problem definitely needs a multidisciplinary approach. This needs a few detailed investigations under the guidance of an immunologist and an endocrinologist.
The growth hormone can help you symptomatically but the dosage needs a careful regulation according to the severity of your problem and the response to treatment. It is best to start the treatment under the guidance of a proficient endocrinologist.
I hope this answers your query.
