What Causes Chronic Lower Backache?

Your x rays and MRI are near normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query
I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,
I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern.
I studied your x ray and MRI. These are normal except mild facet arthrosis at L4-L5 on x ray (mild degenerative changes).
You are having chronic backache which may be related to muscle weakness and vitamin and trace elements deficiencies along with mild degerative changes. Treatment of it is analgesic ( you are already taking Vicodin 7.5/325). Back excercises will be of benefit after pain relief. For degenerative changes Diacerine and glucosamine are useful as these prevent and repair degenerative changes to some extent. Furthermore vitamin D3 deficiency is important cause of back pain. So you can get your vitamin D3 level and if found low you can take its supplements. Multivitamin supplements will be beneficial.
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
Hope I have answered your query.
