What Causes Circular Red Rashes On The Thighs?
Question: HI 3 weeks ago on Vacation after being in a pool I broke out with red rash like circles on my thighs. I have already used Naftifine Hydrochloride and Benadryl neither has helped.
I expecting to receive a response as to what I could use on my rash. I did not want a subscription

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like fungal infection.
I would like to know whether you have itch or pain or any other symptoms in these rashes.
Are these present on one thigh or both the thighs?
This detail would help me in giving a closer diagnosis and better way of management.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.

4 small spots on right thigh... 8 spots various on left thigh. no pain, occasional will itch not very often. My Dr. prescribed naftifine Hydrochloride 2 % and that make them swell up.. so I was told to stop using it
Brief Answer:
Use fluticasone
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
It is pityriasis roseae, a reactive condition.
Somewhat like an allergic reaction.
I treat such cases with a topical steroid cream like fluticasone to be applied twice daily for a week.
It is safe and effective.
You can try this.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
