What Causes Cold Limbs, Heaviness In Chest, Headaches And Frequent Urination?
Question: Cold hands and feet, pulse drop to 45-51 when sitting, heavy chested, headache, frequent urination and chills. I have no thyroid and am on synthroid 150mg.
Brief Answer:
Thyroid
Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about your symptoms. They are highly suggestive of an inadequately replaced thyroid.
When was the last time you had your TSH and free T4 checked?
The target range for TSH for a young healthy adult is about 0.5 to 2.5. Has yours been at goal recently?
When I see someone like you in my practice, I order the following tests in addition to a thorough physical examination:
CBC
CMP
TSH
Free T4
Your pulse rate is quite low. It can occur in a grossly under-replaced thyroid. Regardless, in view of your overall other symptoms it is judicious to go to the emergency room
