Question: Hello
Please I was diagnosed with typhoid about 3 months ago and I was on treatment. Suddenly I have started having confusionsome, unstable mind, dizziness and loss of concentration. I went back to a hospital and after a series of test, they care back with the conclusion that nothing is wrong with me and that the typhoid is no more in my system. The problem is, I'm still feeling what I stated above, it's serious and getting me worried.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are likely to be anxiety-related.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are worried and distressed about your recent problems. Now, as your previous doctor has told you, typhoid would have definitely cleared out of your system by 3 months time. So, the symptoms that you are experiencing now are not due to typhoid. Moreover, you have also had a series of tests and they have all come back as normal.

The symptoms that you have mentioned like confusion, loss of concentration, unstable mind, etc. are likely to be due to an anxiety disorder. Often, after having a major illness, some persons can develop anxiety problems. This will result is poor concentration, worries, repeated confusing thoughts, wavering mind, etc.

But don't worry anxiety disorders are common and they are treatable. There are effective anti-anxiety medication available which can help you to relax your mind and control your symptoms. So, I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist in your place for further assessment and treatment.

Wish you all the best.
