What Causes Consistent Knee Pain While Driving?
Regular exercise and weight control is the key
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
After going through your query, considering your age it looks to be very early arthritis of knee joint. My suggestion for you would be-
1.Keep your body weight as per your height. You are overweight by 10 kg. For prevention of osteoarthritis, weight reduction is the main treatment. Life style modifications like avoiding sitting cross legged; squatting will decrease the rate of progression of osteoarthritis.
2. Regular exercises -. Exercises like quadriceps strengthening, swimming; straight leg rising will help in improving the muscle strength around the knee and will help in decreasing pain. A simple knee bending and straightening (quadriceps strengthening) can be done while sitting on chair and hold the leg for few second's. This can be done easily anywhere like while watching Television or in office.
3.Eat healthy food- My advice would be take glucosamine for your knee osteoarthritis, the recommended dose of glucosamine sulphate is 1500mg and chondroitin sulphate is 800-1200mg daily in divides doses. Glucosamine by nutralite is a good brand and with balanced composition. This is usually given for 3 months and then 6 months off after there is symptomatic improvement. This is not a pain killer so additional medicines are required for pain control and optimum joint activity.
Having said that I shall be glad if you can share your knee xray, status of other joint's and blood test report for serum uric acid,RA factor and Blood sugar level in follow up query
Take care and wish you Healthy knee's.
I hope this information will be helpful and I shall be glad to answer further.
Take care
