Brief Answer:
Need a physical examination

Detailed Answer:
Good afternoon and thank you very much for asking your question on this network.

Your symptoms of burning in the lower abdomen in front of the hip joint could certainly be anatomically in an area where either an abdominal or even an inguinal hernia could exist. But there could be other things causing that burning sensation as well such as urinary tract, prostatitis, bladder infection, or urethritis even.

What you really should get done is a physical examination to check and see that you don't have a hernia. The last thing you want is for a loop of bowel to get messed up and then, cause bigger problems. But what you will also need is blood work, a urinalysis, and if you've ever been sexually active in your life, and STD screen.
